BK-StirolFix WDVS Glue for gluing EPS and mesh reinforcement 25kg Bekament

Application:

For gluing heat-insulating panels made of styrofoam to solid facade surfaces, inserting reinforcing mesh and leveling the entire facade surface, as well as for gluing mineral wool boards. BK-StirolFix WDVS is used as an adhesive for gluing thermal insulation boards within the Bekatherm Standard,
that is, for gluing MW panels within the Bekatherm Prestige thermal insulation system.

Preparation and aplication:

The substrate on which the glue is applied must be solid, clean, load-bearing, without efflorescence, oil or paint residues. Preparation is done by adding powder with about 26-28% water (6.5-7L of water for 25kg of powder), until complete homogenization.
Leave the mass to rest for about 10 minutes, then mix again to obtain a glue of suitable thickness. The prepared glue is applied to the thermal insulation boards (along the entire perimeter of the board and dotted around the middle of the diameter of about 10cm, so-called glue cakes), and then the boards are glued by pressing on the substrate.
During reinforcement, the glue is applied with a serrated steel trowel (tooth size 8-10mm) on the dusted surface of Styrofoam, and then the reinforcing mesh is laid from top to bottom in the thus applied, fresh glue (minimum 10cm of overlap between the strips of the mesh). After drying, the entire surface is leveled with a new layer of glue,
so that the total thickness of the final layer of glue is 4-5mm. The glue should be protected from rapid drying and freezing. When gluing MW panels, it is necessary to coat the entire surface of the panel with a thin layer of glue. Then apply the glue around the entire perimeter of the MW board with the addition of three application points in the middle, about 15cm in diameter, the so-called scones of glue.
