Description

Application:

For bonding ceramic tiles max. dimension 120×100, marble, granite, natural and artificial stone to wall, floor and facade surfaces, exclusively on solid substrates (concrete, cement and lime mortars), for exterior and interior use. Excellent adhesion, high strength, flexibility and moisture resistance. Suitable for bonding low absorbent tiles (E ≤3%) as well as large size tiles to defomable surfaces and for mounting on surfaces with existing tiles. Suitable for use in bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, terraces, swimming pools and underfloor heating systems.

Preparation and application:

The substrate on which the adhesive is applied must be solid, clean, wearable, freeze-dried, free from staining, free of oil or paint residue. Before bonding the tiles, it is advisable to coat the BK-Ultra Prime substrate in order to improve the adhesion of the adhesive. For optimum results when using tile on low-absorbent surfaces, as well as when bonding tile to tile, use in combination with BK-Bond primer. Preparation is carried out by adding the 25kg powder in about 6.75L water with vigorous stirring until complete homogenization. Allow the mass to stand for about 10 minutes, then stir again to obtain a suitable density adhesive. Apply the adhesive with a serrated trowel with a suitable tooth size so that a minimum of 65% of the surface of the tile is covered with adhesive (for internal use) and a minimum of 90% (for external use). The size of the teeth depends on the size of the tiles (4-6mm optimal for tiles size 10-25cm). Insert the tiles into the adhesive layer on the substrate, and if the surface is uneven, apply the tile to the tile, thus leveling. High absorbent, porous tiles should be moistened before installation. Remove excess adhesive with a damp sponge and mechanically seal the hardened parts. Remove excess adhesive in joints mechanically.
